Job description

We are looking for a Director in Certification for a leading client based in Montreal. As an associate, the director or director will be endowed with a clear and engaged strategic vision, capable of managing priorities, deadlines, possessing excellent customer service skills, proven human resources management and interpersonal relations skills, sharp analytical spirit, excellent communication skills, dynamic and enthusiastic team spirit, as well as strong motivation to continuously develop professional knowledge. Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize the necessary resources for clients
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise various mandates
  • Review files and financial statements
  • Develop a time budget, manage any overages, and communicate with concerned parties
  • Review corporate and individual tax declarations
  • Ensure that encountered problems are solved quickly
  • Assure continuous communication and collaboration with associates
  • Manage billing

Support to clients

  • Maintain and develop a client base
  • Assist, if needed, clients at the accounting level
  • Ensure good representation of the cabinet to clients to offer professional service

Relations and supervision

  • Be the 'Human Resources Manager' for a team of professionals, either as a counselor or trainer among colleagues. Contribute to their development by ensuring they are supervised
  • Evaluate the performance of subordinates

Criteria sought:
  • Hold a public accounting permit
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in certification at a public accounting firm
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supervision and personnel management
  • Mastery of software: CaseWare, CaseView, Excel, Taxprep
  • Mastery of French and English (an asset)
