Reporting Manager: Director of Training and Education

Work Location: Douai. Regular travel between campuses is to be expected.
Context:
A school under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, and a school of the Institut Mines-Télécom, IMT Nord Europe has 3 main missions: to train responsible engineers capable of solving the major challenges of the 21st century; to conduct research leading to high-value-added innovations; to support territorial development, particularly by facilitating innovation and business creation. Its objective is to train the engineers of tomorrow, mastering both digital technologies and industrial know-how. Ideally located at the crossroads of Europe, 1 hour from Paris, 30 minutes from Brussels, and 1.5 hours from London, IMT Nord Europe aims to become a major player in the major industrial, digital, and environmental transformations of the 21st century by combining, in both its teaching and research, engineering sciences and digital technologies.
Located on 2 main teaching and research sites, in Lille and Douai, IMT Nord Europe relies on over 20,000 m² of laboratories to develop high-level teaching and excellence in research in the three fields of "Digital Systems", "Energy Environment", "Materials and Processes". The position is to be filled within the Directorate of Generalist Engineering Training of the Directorate of Training and Education.
Mission:
The Director of Training leads, for their program, the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the training pathway. Responsible for academic quality and compliance with the program's standards, they lead the training steering committee, coordinate teaching and administrative teams, and ensure the achievement of student success and employability objectives. They represent their program within the Orientation and Steering Committee for Training and Education (COPFE) and in external bodies. They facilitate the implementation of operational excellence in their training.
Activities:
In this context, the Director of Generalist Engineering Training is responsible for the activities defined below:
• Design and evolve the training program structure in conjunction with the COPFE (strategic orientations, content, assessment methods, competency frameworks, pedagogical innovations) in collaboration with teachers, professional partners, and student feedback.
• Lead the training steering committee, coordinate speakers (permanent faculty, adjunct faculty, industrial tutors), and ensure the coherence of the program.
• Oversee the operational deployment of initial and continuing education (admissions, schedules, administrative and pedagogical monitoring of students) in coordination with the Deputy in charge of studies.
• Ensure the deployment of professionalization contracts for the generalist engineering training.
• Guarantee the budgetary control of the training, arbitrate pedagogical resources and associated means.
• Monitor student success, progress, and engagement indicators.
• Implement improvement actions based on feedback from students and teams.
• Lead accreditation processes for the training program under the DFE.
• Conduct pedagogical watch and prospective studies on the evolution of professions and expected skills.
• Participate in the School's outreach (Open Days, Forums, trade shows...) and represent the Generalist Engineering Training program with institutional and professional partners.
• Ensure the management, animation, and skills development of the team.
