Director General / Director General, Financial Insights & Analysis

The director general, Financial Insights & Analysis (FIA), is responsible for ensuring that the high-level management of the Office d'investissement du RPC and the Council receive clear and integrated analyses on the performance of the Fonds, costs, and exposures, in order to support effective decision-making. He or she directs also the conception and supervision of governance, standards, and processes related to report production and analysis of the total Fund. This person ensures that information on performance and costs is reliable, comparable, and focused on key elements. A crucial aspect of the role is being able to translate complex analytical concepts into simple and convincing stories about costs and performance.

This is also a leadership role focused on people, at the head of a multidisciplinary team. The or DG, FIA, is responsible for establishing the vision and direction of the function, developing talents, and promoting a culture that values clarity, responsibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The or DG, FIA, works closely with Finance teams, the Office of the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Public Affairs and Communications, as well as other partners across the organization to:

• establish the agenda for analyses and reports at the Fund level;
• ensure a governance and standards framework regarding cost information;
• provide analyses and stories useful for decision-making, allowing senior leaders to make informed choices about performance, resource allocation, and priorities.

The position reports to the Director General, Head of Management Analysis.

Responsibilities

1. Integrated Fund analysis, governance, and reporting

• Establish and maintain governance, standards, and processes related to report production and analysis of the total Fund, in order to ensure a coherent and reliable view of performance, costs, and exposures at the Office d'investissement du RPC level.
• Provide clear, decision-support analyses and stories to senior leadership and the Council through key products (e.g., quarterly activity report, budgetary quarterly analysis, annual portfolio review, council documents), highlighting key factors, trends, implications, and actions to consider from a 'one Fund, one voice' perspective.

2. Fund-level planning, cost governance, and resource allocation

• Direct the establishment of the total Fund budget, forecasts, and variance analysis, providing a prospective view on how resources support strategy, including key assumptions, trade-offs, and options for senior leaders.
• Be responsible for the cost governance framework and cost models based on drivers, in partnership with Finance – Business Partners teams, providing analyses and scenarios that illuminate major decisions regarding resource allocation, while promoting transparency, cost awareness, and harmonization of behaviors at the Fund level.

3. External reporting and data foundations

• Be responsible for producing external management reports (e.g., annual report), ensuring a clear, coherent, and well-governed narrative on performance, costs, and exposures of the Fund, aligned with internal perspective.

4. Leadership and culture

• Ensure clear leadership and direction for the FIA team, defining vision, objectives, and priorities for the function and aligning work with the global mandate of Management Analysis and Finance.
• Constitute, develop, and retain a high-performing and diverse team; ensure effective role design, coaching, feedback, and succession planning; and promote a culture that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Show exemplary ability to translate complex analytical content into simple and convincing stories about costs and performance, and coach team members to strengthen their impact on senior stakeholders.
