Project Financial Director

The position requires presence on site, in the project office located on the construction site of the Île d'Orléans bridge. The project is being carried out in partnership.
RESPONSABILITIES
Sunder the supervision of the Project Director, the incumbent will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a leadership role that fosters collaboration and teamwork;
- Supervising project accounting, including bookkeeping, client and supplier account management, preparation of periodic financial statements, and compliance with accounting and fiscal standards;
- Managing daily financial processes, including invoice validation, payments, bank reconciliations, asset management, tax declaration preparation, and government reporting;
- Forecasting medium- to long-term treasury;
- Preparing and updating the budget;
- Analyzing results compared to forecasts and preparing comments on variances;
- Preparing executive presentations and collaborating with the project's EXCO committee;
- Providing financial and accounting advice and reporting to senior management and project managers;
- Participating in process optimization and financial tool development ;
- Participating in internal and external audit preparation and communication with auditors ;
- Collaborating closely with the Commercial Director, particularly regarding:
- Cost control;
- Commercial strategy;
- Risk management;
- Sourcing and subcontracting management;
- Risk management
Developing and tracking key performance indicators for the organization ;
Identifying opportunities to increase profitability of the partnership ;
All other connected tasks.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or administration;
- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, including at least 3 years in the construction or engineering industry;
- Holding a CPA title;
- MBA diploma is an asset;
- Experience in team management, particularly in accounting team management;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with payroll, HR, procurement and commercial teams ;
- Experience in context of partnership, an asset;
- Experience with engineering consulting firms, an asset;
- Experience in developing and implementing contract management strategies, risk management and opportunities ;
- Knowledge of claims issues, an asset;
- Understanding of cost control and planning in a contract management context, an asset;
- Knowledge of the Quebec public construction market (MTMD, MELCC), an asset;
- Able to express oneself easily before decision-making instances ;
- Mastery of Microsoft Office, primarily Microsoft Excel ;
- Bilingualism (English and French).
