Digital Video Creator*in - Political Communication

We want to regain progressive discourse power – and you can help fill the net with clear, creative messages. As a Digital Content Creator*in, you will transform political ideas into strong, platform-ready video content that shapes debates and achieves reach.

As a Video Creator*in, you have a good sense for the political and media discourse in Germany. You recognize viral moments, can categorize trends, and develop videos that achieve reach and impact – from idea to implementation to evaluation.

You will work closely with our partners, bring in your own theme ideas, advise on strategy and formats, and set up video contributions independently – especially for Instagram and TikTok. You will take over projects autonomously: you will develop short, pointed video formats, review drafts, lead colleagues in implementation if necessary, and post content on platforms.

Aufgaben

• Production of political Short-Form-Content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms – from idea finding to implementation and publication to analysis
• Development and further development of short, pointed Social-Media formats, including identification and setup of new channels, if necessary, and setup of own presenter formats
• Creation of motion graphics animations and graphic assets (e.g. Sharepics) as well as teasers, captions, and other texts
• Readiness to accompany video content for events and demonstrations, including live content and mobile preparation for Stories and Reels
• Carrying out simple to medium-level video editing (e.g. Edits, subtitles, Mobile Editing) and creating platform-ready video and text contents.
• Monitoring of the political, social, and media discourse and deriving relevant themes, trends, and narratives for Social Media.
• Ensuring consistent political communication in close coordination with colleagues and project partners
• Implementation of barrier-free content, e.g. through subtitling, audio descriptions, clear language, and format-adapted adaptations.
• Independent planning, prioritization, and steering of content projects, including coordination with colleagues and partners
• Analysis of reach, interactions, and target group behavior as well as derivation of learnings for optimizing future contents and formats.

Qualifikation

You bring:

• 2-3 years of experience in motion picture production – with a clear focus on Social-Media video.
• Safe handling of platform-ready production as well as common video and editing tools (e.g. DaVinci Resolve, Edits, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) for creating subtitles, overlays, and animations.
• Praxis in conceiving and implementing political Social-Media contents and a safe handling in the digital political environment.
• A keen sense of themes, timing, and tone in the political discourse.
• A clear, concise, and stylish writing style – from short snippets to captions to longer texts – as well as the ability to simplify complex content.
• A very good understanding of current Social-Media trends, platform mechanics, and reach strategies – and the ability to incorporate these into your work.
• Routine in handling project management and communication tools like Trello or Slack.
• An autonomous, reliable working style and pleasure in collaborative teamwork.
• Interest in political communication and enthusiasm for creative, progressive content.
• Ideal candidate with immediate availability; full-time preferred, part-time possible from 32 hours per week onwards.
