We are Prematch, founded in 2021 in Cologne, a dynamic startup with smart and "hungry" team members. Our marketing and business team sits in Cologne, Berlin & London, our tech & product team works remotely across Europe.

We receive backing from strong partners like adidas, Krombacher, NIVEA MEN, and the Techniker Krankenkasse – and have 1-2 exciting collaborations in the pipeline. Successful investors like Ralf Reichert (CEO of ESL) or Verena Pausder support us on our way.

We need you for this

Product development: We are looking for a talented product designer who will drive our design forward and create intuitive, exciting user experiences. You shape the future of our product – from new ideas to refining existing features. With your sense of user research, interaction, and visual design, you develop solutions that our users love. Together with product & development, you turn insights into strong, functional designs that have real impact.

Your tasks

• UX/UI design: Design user-centered interfaces and experiences for mobile applications
• User research: Conduct product discovery, user interviews, and usability tests to gain insights and support design decisions
• Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for new features and improvements
• Design consistency: Ensure a consistent and harmonious design throughout the product
• Cross-domain support: Take on additional design tasks in other teams (e.g., brand partnerships)

What you need

• What you bring: 2 years of experience as a product designer, along with a strong portfolio that showcases your design skills.
• You know football: Amateur football is familiar to you – you have played yourself and/or are still active in the club. You have a good feeling for people, processes, and challenges on and off the pitch.
• Languages: You speak fluent German and English.
• User research: Experience in conducting user research and usability tests.
• Visual design: Excellent visual design skills and a good sense of user-system interactions.
• Design principles: Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and responsive design.

A plus but not a must

• Motion design skills
• Frontend dev skills
