Job description

We are a young, politically engaged team that makes digital communication with attitude. We don't just create content – we want to mobilize people. To do this, we're looking for someone who knows and lives big organizing.

As Digital Organizer*in, you will develop scalable digital actions, recognize political momentum, and turn it into campaigns that actually mobilize. You understand how to turn a community into a movement - how to organize and mobilize volunteers and how to create from these people a large community that has political clout. You have a good sense for the political and media discourse in Germany. You recognize viral moments, can categorize trends, and develop actions that unfold reach and impact. Your work ensures that communities grow, organizing opportunities arise, and progressive forces become more visible and effective over time.

You will work closely with our other departments and bring your own ideas to the daily meetings. In this process, you will take on projects independently: You will develop digital actions, coordinate workflow, lead colleagues in implementation if necessary, and take charge of what needs to be done.

Aufgaben

  • Building and maintaining community channels (newsletters, WhatsApp, broadcasts, etc.)
  • Conception, building, and maintenance of interactive, participatory community channels (Discord, Reddit, etc.)
  • Conceptualization and implementation of scalable digital participation actions (stunts, mailings, action waves, events, etc.)
  • Development of organizing funnels that turn community members into activists, as well as long-term planning for sustainable mobilization structures
  • Recognizing political momentum and translating it into actions
  • Independent planning and steering of projects, as well as coordination with colleagues, teams, and partners
  • Analysis of reach and impact and derivation of learnings for future content
  • Bringing in new ideas, trends, and tools and active co-shaping of editorial workflows

Qualifikation

You bring:

  • Experience in digital organizing and community mobilizing
  • Experience in creating and conducting political campaigns (online & offline)
  • Experience in writing organizing messages (mailings, notifications, action texts, etc.)
  • Creativity and sense for mobilization
  • A deep understanding of themes, timing, and tone in the political discourse
  • Very good writing and German skills – you hit the tone just as well in 280 characters as in longer texts or video scripts
  • A very good overview of current organizing trends, tools, and organizing hacks
  • Experience with project management and team communication tools like Trello or Slack
  • High sense of responsibility, accountability, and joy in teamwork
  • Interest in political communication and enthusiasm for creative, progressive content
  • Knowledge of graphic or video tools desirable
  • Availability ideally from now on and full-time (32h+), but if you have time later, apply anyway

Benefits

  • Working with a sense of purpose & tangible societal impact
  • Flexible work: Berlin office + remote, as you think best
  • Top equipment, production studio & tools for professional content production
  • Mitgestaltung desired: good ideas are tested, not shelved
  • Clearness & development: honest feedback culture, strategic sparring, learning as standard
  • Part of a strong network of progressive actors
  • A team with attitude, trust & genuine cooperation on eye level
  • Fair compensation & transparent framework conditions
  • Job ticket
