Diesel Pumproom Technician - Cape Town

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel pumproom equipment to ensure optimal operation

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues

• Identify faulty components and replace them with appropriate parts

• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed

• Liaise with suppliers for parts and materials as required

• Adhere to workplace safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Technical certification or diploma in Diesel Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering

• Proven experience as a Diesel Technician, preferably in a pumproom or similar industrial setting

• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and fuel system components

• Proficient in diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults

• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics

• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Attention to detail and commitment to safety practices
