Diesel Mechanic - Pietermaritzburg

Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repair work on diesel engines and related systems; Diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems; Conduct thorough inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty and earthmoving equipment; Repair or replace faulty parts and components; Maintain service records and complete job cards accurately; Adhere to safety procedures and ensure compliance with company standards; Order necessary parts and materials for repair tasks. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; Certification or diploma in Diesel Mechanics or a related field; Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic, particularly on heavy-duty or earthmoving equipment; Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills; Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics; Welding and fabricating experience will be advantageous; Red Seal certification is a strong advantage; Must come from the construction industry.
