Diesel Mechanic - Construction Industry

RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The role involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty earthmoving machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime on site.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain diesel-powered heavy-duty and earthmoving equipment

• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform corrective action

• Conduct preventative maintenance

• Perform welding and fabrication

• Maintain accurate service records and reports

Requirements:

• Experience with heavy-duty, earthmoving equipment in the construction industry

• Strong diagnostic and repair skills

• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus

• Red Seal certification is advantageous

• Able to work independently in a high-pressure environment
