Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Purpose:

We are looking for a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to participate in the development and maintenance of the company's mature business applications, with significant logic and complex flows implemented at the database level. The role involves both developing new functionalities and analyzing and optimizing existing solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of practical experience in developing solutions with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL or an equivalent level of demonstrable competence
• Solid knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience in developing and maintaining applications with complex PL/SQL logic, distributed across packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and jobs
• Experience in designing relational models
• Experience in using Oracle objects such as views, sequences, synonyms, jobs, and database links
• Experience working with CLOB and BLOB data types
• Experience with dynamic SQL and applying measures to prevent SQL injection
• Understanding of Oracle mechanisms regarding transactions, concurrency, and locking
• Experience in analyzing and optimizing SQL queries, including interpreting execution plans and efficiently using indexes
• Experience with user-defined types and PL/SQL collections
• Experience in processing XML and JSON data
• Experience working with Git.

Advantageous:

• Experience in designing and optimizing batch processing on a large number of records, including in tables containing CLOB/BLOB columns
• Knowledge of Oracle mechanisms regarding users, roles, and privileges
• Experience with hash functions, encryption mechanisms, and other Oracle features for data protection
• Experience with REST/SOAP services and their integration from PL/SQL
• Experience with Java stored procedures
• Experience working with Jira and Bitbucket
• Linux knowledge and using shell commands for data processing
• Higher technical education or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities:

• Development, testing, and maintenance of SQL and PL/SQL components of the company's applications
• Implementation of new functionalities and improvement of existing ones
• Designing data processing, integration, and reporting mechanisms
• Integration with external services and processing of XML/JSON messages within the database
• Analysis and optimization of code for performance and scalability
• Analysis of existing flows and the impact of changes on dependent components and processes
• Analysis of application behavior, identification of problem causes, and implementation of necessary solutions
• Participation in code reviews, activity estimation, and solution documentation
• Collaboration with team members for requirements analysis and solution implementation.
