As a DevOps Engineer, you will work directly at the interface between software, hardware, and operations and bring the systems to the next level.

Your area of responsibility

You will work at the interface between software, hardware, and operations and bring systems directly into operation.
๐Ÿ”This means specifically:

  • Integration of new hardware providers into the existing system landscape

  • Adaptation and further development of your own locker operating system on Debian Linux basis

  • Implementation and testing of new features directly on the hardware

  • Optimization and further development of applications on embedded systems

  • Setup and integration of monitoring solutions to support the operations team

  • Analysis of error patterns and continuous improvement of stability and operation

  • Support in setting up and developing the data platform

You bring as a DevOps Engineer

  • Experience counts less than concrete implemented projects

  • A GitHub profile or comparable project examples are a big plus

  • Good knowledge of Python, Java, or Go and willingness to actively use both

  • Java is advantageous for understanding existing systems

  • Solid basic understanding of Linux systems

  • Interest in hardware and no aversion to working directly with devices

  • Ideal background from fields like electronics, media technology, or hardware-related development

  • Very good German and English skills for optimal team communication

  • Readiness to come to the office regularly for tests (ca. 2-4 times per month, in intense phases even more frequently)


    Nice to have experiences with:

    • Automatization tools like Terraform or Ansible

    • Single Board Computers like Raspberry Pi

    • OpenTelemetry or Clickhouse
