DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) - Kubernetes & AI Infrastructure

We consciously operate our infrastructure ourselves – and that's exactly why we're looking for you: As a technical sparring partner on equal footing, you'll actively contribute from container orchestration to the operation of our self-hosted AI platform.

Responsibilities

• Orchestration and further development of our Kubernetes cluster
• Consistent further development of our container workloads
• Seamless, high-performance network integration between our Kubernetes-based microservices
• Technical sparring partnership on equal footing, not just implementation
• AI Model Serving and Inference with vLLM
• Operation of our self-hosted AI platform
• Ensuring data protection, data sovereignty, and regulatory requirements in the AI environment
• Design and optimization of our CI/CD landscape
• Security hardening of the clusters and compliance with our compliance guidelines in the container environment
• Occasional development of own Python modules

Qualifications

• Very good knowledge of container technologies and their orchestration
• At least 3 years of experience after studies/apprenticeship in software development or comparable with a strong focus on product mindset
• In-depth programming skills, preferably in Python
• Desirable: Experience with LLM hosting / serving
• Advantageous: Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
• Knowledge in the area of security is desirable, ideally in the container or cluster environment
• Very good German skills (at least C1) for smooth team communication
• Willingness to work 2-3 days per week in the office in Geisenhausen – for exchange, team spirit, and genuine dialogue
