DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Lead should have 3-10 years of experience and solid background on CICD on AWS, Gitlab, Jenkins, and GKE. S/he will be the go-to person for the development team on deployment.

Primary Responsibilities

• A technology Professional who understands software development and can solve IT Operational & Deployment challenges using software engineering tools and processes.
• This position requires understanding of both Software development (Dev) & Deployment Operations (Ops).
• One must Understand the overall business requirements and based on it design and develop the overall software deployments using DevOps tools.
• Must also have good communication and interpersonal skills to work with different teams to understand their requirements and come up with a deployment design.
• Identity manual process and automate them using various DevOps automation tools.
• Maintain organizations growing cloud infrastructure.
• We heavily use modern tools like Docker, Kubernetes, ELK Stack, MongoDB, a complete cloud-native approach in our day to day business.
• We fully rely on CI/CD Automation tools like Jenkins for our day to day deployment activities for our application services.
• We utilize Jenkins to automate creation of Docker Images, and deploy them into Kubernetes in a fully automated approach.

Primary Skills

• A fair Understanding of Kubernetes, Helm will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Jenkins, writing DSL / Groovy scripts for continuous integration & deployment of Automation Jobs.
• Proficiency in Writing Shell scripts or PowerShell scripts, Linux Commands is a must.
• Working knowledge of either Azure or GCP Cloud or AWS Cloud and understanding cloud infrastructure components of the respective cloud.
• Good working knowledge of Container Runtime Engine like Docker.
• Proficiency & having working knowledge of source code repository operations using Git Commands and GitHub. Secondary Skills
• Understanding Terraform infrastructure automation for automating infrastructure, either on Azure or GCP cloud will be an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of below tools will be an added advantage.
• DevOps Tools like Ansible, Spinnaker
• APM tools like Prometheus, Grafana
• Working knowledge of production scenarios for Disaster recovery & High-availability of cloud services like MongoDB / ElasticDB will be useful.
