DevOps Engineer - Temporary

We are looking for a driven DevOps Engineer with experience in Azure DevOps. For our client, a large bank in Utrecht, we are seeking an enthusiastic professional to develop and manage CI/CD pipelines. You design cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure and automate infrastructure with tools such as Terraform or Bicep. • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for efficient and reliable deployment processes;
• Design and manage cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure for improved performance and reliability;
• Automate infrastructure and configuration with tools such as Terraform or Bicep, to create scalable and secure cloud environments;
• Work together with development teams to integrate DevOps practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement and security;
• Apply advanced software engineering principles for designing, developing, and maintaining robust solutions in an agile environment;
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines by using automation and Infrastructure as Code to ensure safe deployment processes;
• Manage Azure resources, such as Frontdoor, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks, WebApp, LogicApp, Azure Functions, Networking, PEP, and VNET;
• Ensure compliance with Azure- and DevOps-standards and -norms;
• Mentor junior team members in their development and knowledge;
• Participate in Solution Design for technical and procedural challenges;
• Active participation in defining and refining backlog items;
• Promote a mindset of integration, standardization, process automation, and self-service within the team.

• Strong C++ knowledge and programming skills;
• IT skills to solve architectural problems;
• Good experience with cross-platform build systems, such as CMake;
• Strong risk management and risk awareness skills;
• Experience in a quant/investment banking environment is a plus;
• Experience with large C++ projects, particularly in the context of restructuring is a plus;
• Experience with Azure stacks is a plus;
• Clear initiative, self-motivation, and drive to achieve set goals;
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively under pressure and result-oriented;
• Takes responsibility for own results and projects;
• Clear and effective communication skills.

This is a temporary hybrid role in Utrecht, for 36 hours per week for 6 months with a start date of December 2025. For this role, we offer you a contract through Independent Recruiters. We will tell you more about it in a personal conversation.
