Aufgaben

• In Your role, you operate and develop the Kubernetes platform, including operation, further development, and maintenance
• You build an API platform and operate it – from API gateway to developer portal, self-service processes, and API catalog
• A significant part of your task is contract-first API design with OpenAPI, including consistent versioning, governance, and comprehensive API security through OIDC/OAuth2, JWT rotation, and adherence to OWASP API Top 10 security guidelines
• You develop backend components in Go, Python, and PHP, ensuring a clean software architecture and quality through test-driven and behavior-driven development
• You set up GitOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) with GitHub Actions, Harbor, and Argo CD, and ensure the monitoring and observability of the platform, including Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, and Grafana
• Your task profile is rounded off by continuous optimization of the platform, refactoring existing components, and ensuring data protection and security standards

Qualifikation

• A completed degree or a completed vocational training in IT or comparable
• Practical experience as DevOps/Platform Engineer or in the productive operation of Kubernetes, including upgrades
• First experience in building and operating an API platform, including API gateway operation, contract-first with OpenAPI, versioning, and lifecycle management
• Expertise and experience in the following areas are advantageous: Cloud and API infrastructure, API security, backend refactoring, databases/storage, EU hosting, authentication, and/or cost control
• Secure German skills on C1 level
• A self-reliant and analytical working style, as well as team capability
