DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)

Aufgaben

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) who will work both in the backend and be responsible for the infrastructure of our mobile app and dependent backend systems. This is a Greenfield project – you have the unique chance to build a modern, sustainable, and scalable infrastructure from scratch and bring your creativity and engagement fully into play. You will work professionally in various areas of traffic gastronomy, retail, fueling station infrastructure, and payment processing.

Your Tasks

• Infrastruktur-Management: Building, maintaining, and optimizing our AWS-based cloud infrastructure for our mobile app and dependent backend systems
• Container-Orchestrierung: Managing and further developing our Docker- and Kubernetes-environments
• CI/CD-Pipelines: Implementing and maintaining automated deployment processes
• Infrastruktur-Entwicklung: Developing and maintaining a scalable infrastructure that contributes to the success of our product
• Backend-Entwicklung: Independent development of features, for example, for click-and-collect orders or payment processing for fueling station transactions.
• Monitoring & Performance: Setting up monitoring solutions, optimizing system performance, and troubleshooting and debugging applications
• Security: Ensuring the security of our systems and implementing best practices
• Automatisierung: Developing infrastructure-as-code solutions

Qualifikation

• A completed degree in IT (e.g. computer science, business informatics) or a comparable qualification
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in developing web- or API-based backend systems and/or in the DevOps/cloud environment
• Cloud-Expertise: In-depth experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, Lambda, etc.) or other public cloud platforms
• Container-Technologien: Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes or other orchestration tools
• Backend-Kenntnisse: Good knowledge of Java and experience with API design (REST, possibly GraphQL), authentication, performance tuning, and system architecture
• CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar
• Infrastruktur-Automatisierung: Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.)
• Versionskontrolle: Secure handling of Git
• You are characterized by excellent problem-solving skills and work well in a team to find the best solutions together
• Your spoken and written German is fluent (at least C1) and a residence in the Munich metropolitan area would be desirable
