Role and Responsibilities


As a DevOps engineer at DevOn, you will join a team that partners with development teams throughout the organization, with the goal of improving products and enhancing speed and quality in development and deployment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Automating applications using appropriate tools and techniques
• Working with product teams to shape the architecture, design, and implementation of systems to enhance reliability, performance, efficiency, and scalability
• Assisting product teams in developing and deploying on a cloud-native environment
• Ensuring all key services are measured, monitored, and raising alerts when needed
• Developing automation for application deployment and configuration management
• Building reliability tools and frameworks for use by all engineers and products
• Researching, developing, configuring, and implementing tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Driving efficiencies in products and processes including capacity planning, configuration management, performance tuning, monitoring, backup/restore, and root cause analysis

Candidate Qualifications


To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps/SRE or equivalent
• Strong experience in Python or equivalent language
• Experience with PowerShell, bash scripting, and Azure CLI
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
• Experience with DevOps in Azure cloud, including deployment and support of Azure services
• Strong experience with Azure PaaS, IaaS, and Azure DevOps pipelines
• Ability to implement infrastructure as code using Terraform
• An understanding of application security and information security controls
• Data Science platform/tools experience, plus experience with monitoring and logging platforms, will be an advantage
