Role: DevOps Automation Engineer – Database Platforms Location: LATAM (Remote) Mode: Contract About the Role: We are hiring a DevOps Automation Engineer to join our database engineering team and lead the development of tools infrastructure automation and CICD workflows that power our database platforms You will partner closely with database architects to convert infrastructure and deployment needs into scalable maintainable production ready code This is a hands-on engineering role focused on in-depth understanding of database platforms, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of automated workflows for database provisioning, backup, and recovery. The ideal candidate should have experience working with cloud-based databases, such as Amazon Aurora, Google Cloud SQL, or Microsoft Azure Database Services, and be familiar with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation. Additionally, the ability to work in a distributed team environment and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders is essential. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, and maintain automated workflows for database provisioning, backup, and recovery using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation. • Collaborate closely with database architects to convert infrastructure and deployment needs into scalable, maintainable production-ready code. • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of database platforms, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of automated workflows for database provisioning, backup, and recovery. • Work in a distributed team environment and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders. • Participate in the development of tools infrastructure automation and CICD workflows that power our database platforms. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. • At least 3 years of experience working as a DevOps Automation Engineer, focusing on database platforms. • In-depth understanding of cloud-based databases, such as Amazon Aurora, Google Cloud SQL, or Microsoft Azure Database Services. • Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation. • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
