Your missions
You will join a team of 12 people whose challenge is to translate complex financial mechanisms into an elegant and resilient software architecture. At the heart of the market activities of an energy leader, you will design the contract modeling engine that drives the group's risk exposure.
As a Senior Python Developer, your challenges will be the following:
- Architecture & Design: Design and evolve APIs and microservices capable of modeling rich and varied contractual lifecycle cycles.
- Engineering Excellence: Ensure code quality and maintainability (Clean Code, thorough unit and integration tests) in an environment where the slightest calculation error has a direct financial impact.
- Domain Modeling: Collaborate with business experts to transform complex business rules (gas purchases, P&L tracking, European regulatory constraints) into performant data models.
- Performance & Scalability: Optimize services for aggregating massive volumes of data intended to feed real-time risk management tools.
Technical challenges: Complex object modeling, financial data integrity, robust API design, critical production environment.
Functional environment: Energy trading (Gas & Power), market risk management, industrial finance.
Technical Stack: Python (Expertise expected), API Ecosystem, risk management tools.
Profile sought
We are recruiting a Senior Software Engineer Python, passionate about software design and capable of taking a step back from distributed architecture issues.
- Education: Master's degree (engineering school or university).
- Technical Expertise: In-depth mastery of Python and solid experience in designing complex Back-end services.
- Engineering Culture: High sensitivity to best practices (SOLID, Design Patterns, Craftsmanship) and system robustness.
- Experience: You have already worked in demanding environments (Finance, trading, complex supply chain, or critical systems) where precision is essential.
- Soft Skills: Technical mentoring, ability to challenge functional requirements, and ease of communication with non-technical profiles.
