Software Developer - C++ to C# (.NET) Migration

Job description

We are looking for a Software Developer – C++ to C# (.NET) Migration, for our partner, a leading North American company in the evaluation of water and sewage distribution networks.

Job Title : C++ / C# – Software Modernization
Field : Hydraulic engineering and water analysis
Hybrid or in-person mode

Responsibilities :

Analyze the existing internal software developed in C++.
Design and develop a new version in C# (.NET).
Optimize the software's performance, security, and maintainability.
Migrate current features while adding improvements according to business needs.
Integrate the software with other tools used by the company (SIG, databases, internal systems).
Document the code and train the internal team on the use of the new platform.

Required Skills :

Mastery of C++ and C# (.NET).
Experience in software migration and modernization.
Knowledge of good design practices (design patterns, software architecture).
Experience with SQL databases and APIs.
Ability to understand and translate complex business needs into effective software solutions.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
