Job description
We are looking for a Design System Designer to join our Monterail Design Network and collaborate with us on a freelance basis.
What you need:- Proven experience in building and maintaining complex Design Systems (foundations, components, and documentation)
- Strong portfolio highlighting your systematic thinking and Design System projects (case studies showing "how it works," not just "how it looks")
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including advanced features like variables, auto-layout, nested components, and library management
- Deep understanding of UX principles and a user-centered mindset to ensure system components are functional and intuitive
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially developers
- Excellent English skills (B2 level or higher) for clear documentation and seamless communication
- Availability from 20 - 40 hours per week (B2B contract only)
