Design Manager, Major Projects

About this role Are you a strong design manager looking for the next big challenge? Imagine being part of a team that designs and builds critical health infrastructure, such as hospitals, clinics, and community health centers. You'll be responsible for leading a team of designers and architects to deliver high-quality, patient-centered designs that meet the needs of our clients and the communities they serve. Key responsibilities: • Lead a team of designers and architects to deliver high-quality, patient-centered designs • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet project requirements • Develop and maintain design standards and guidelines • Provide design guidance and mentorship to junior designers • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in healthcare design • Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and execution • Develop and manage project budgets and timelines • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders • Participate in business development and marketing efforts • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in healthcare design • Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and execution • Develop and manage project budgets and timelines • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders • Participate in business development and marketing efforts. What we're looking for: • 5+ years of experience as a design manager in a healthcare or related field • Strong leadership and management skills • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects and tasks • Strong design skills and knowledge of design principles and best practices • Experience with design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
