About this role Design & Integration Specialist Brisbane The Role Airbus is seeking a Design & Integration Specialist to act as a primary technical authority within our Airframe Equipment and Integration Function. This role is a critical link between regional operational requirements and Airbus's global engineering standards, ensuring that complex modifications for the civil helicopter market are technically viable, commercially competitive, and fully compliant with international certifications. About you As a Design & Integration Specialist, you will utilise your engineering expertise, understanding of airframe systems, and project management skills to ensure the successful integration of modifications into Airbus helicopters. Your responsibilities will include: * Technical expertise - providing expert-level technical advice and guidance on design and integration aspects, ensuring that solutions meet all required safety and performance standards. * Design solutions - developing and reviewing design solutions, including the creation of technical specifications, drawings, and supporting documentation. * Integration planning - developing integration plans and schedules, coordinating activities across multiple teams, and managing the overall integration process to ensure the successful delivery of modifications. * Project management - managing projects related to design and integration, including the development of project plans, the monitoring of project progress, and the management of project budgets. * Stakeholder management - liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, regulatory agencies, and other engineering teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. * Risk management - identifying and assessing risks associated with design and integration activities, developing mitigation strategies, and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle. * Compliance - ensuring that all design and integration activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements, standards, and best practices. * Continuous improvement - identifying opportunities to improve design and integration processes, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. What you will bring to the team: * Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. * Extensive experience in the design and integration of airframe systems, with a strong understanding of helicopter systems. * Experience with CAD software and design tools. * Project management experience, including the ability to manage projects from inception to completion. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. * A strong understanding of regulatory requirements and certification processes. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
