Job Description (JD) Position: Design Engineer Industry: Oil & Gas / EPC / Offshore / Pipeline Projects Location: Mumbai Experience: 3–12 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with experience in Oil & Gas projects to support engineering design, drafting coordination, and project execution activities. The candidate should have knowledge of engineering standards, project specifications, and design software related to offshore/onshore projects, pipelines, and other infrastructure. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and maintaining detailed designs for various oil & gas facilities, including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and 3D models. • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and compliance with industry standards and regulations. • Collaborating with project managers to develop project schedules, resource allocation plans, and budget estimates. • Providing technical support to project engineers and other stakeholders as needed. • Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and innovations in the oil & gas industry. • Participating in design reviews and ensuring that designs are accurate, complete, and meet project requirements. • Developing and maintaining documentation of design calculations, assumptions, and methodologies used. • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. • Maintaining a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all aspects of the job. • Any other tasks as assigned by management from time to time. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. • Minimum 3-12 years of experience in design engineering for oil & gas projects. • Strong understanding of engineering standards, project specifications, and design software related to offshore/onshore projects, pipelines, and other infrastructure. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and design tools (e.g., Piping Design Software). • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is an added advantage. • Certification in relevant engineering discipline (e.g., PE, CE) is desirable.
