Design Engineer (Civil/Structural)

Brief Summary of This Position: This is an individual contributor role. The primary responsibilities of the Design Engineer include the engineering, structural analysis, and design of steel structures (i.e. towers or monopoles) required to ensure project goals are met. You will provide customer support, coordination with sales to help provide the appropriate products, and assistance to operations to insure the products are manufactured to specifications. You will use in-house consultation of coworkers and external resources as needed. The Design Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all designs meet company standards and regulatory requirements. This includes but is not limited to: ASME, AISC, OSHA, and local building codes. In addition, you will work closely with the sales team to provide technical support and product information to customers. You will also assist in the development of new products and services by providing input on design feasibility and manufacturability. The Design Engineer will be expected to maintain accurate records of designs, calculations, and testing results. This position requires a strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
