Tasks
Your Tasks as Design Compliance Engineer:
- You ensure the regulatory and technical conformity of our unmanned aerial systems (UAS) according to EU Regulation 2019/945, 2019/947, and relevant EASA guidelines.
- You lead technical requirements out of norms, standards, and safety guidelines for mechanics, electronics, and software.
- You plan, conduct, and evaluate ground- and flight tests as well as risk analyses (e.g. SORA, FMEA, FTA) to validate system functions and safety requirements.
- You review design changes and take responsibility for clearance under consideration of regulatory and safety aspects.
- You document compliance, create conformity statements, and support certification and authority processes.
- You work closely together with engineering- and production teams to integrate regulatory requirements early into the development process.
- You establish efficient quality-, documentation-, and proof-of-processes in the aerospace environment.
Qualification
You bring:
- You hold a completed degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or comparable.
- You have experience with UAS, aerospace technology, or safety-critical systems.
- You have knowledge of EASA regulations, CE conformity, and relevant aerospace standards.
- You possess experience in risk assessments (SORA, FMEA, FTA) as well as test planning and documentation.
- You are fluent in German and English.
