Senior Backend Java Developer

We are looking for your talent to work as:

Senior Backend Java Developer

Responsibilities:

• Senior developer who designs and implements clean, elegant, modern, and easy-to-navigate APIs
• Contributes significantly to integration efforts to connect APIs with underlying legacy systems and ensures they interact efficiently with underlying databases
• Responsible for the quality of their development, applying test automation practices and API query performance profiling, and understanding/resolving issues within the API call stack
• Contributes to the development of the organization's software product following established quality standards

Requirements:

• Experience as a Java backend developer of more than 5 years.
• Deep knowledge of Spring Boot WebFlux, Spring Data, and other Java frameworks
• Experience with modern DevOps development tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, SonarQube)
• API development, including access control and authorization (JWT, Okta, OAuth, etc.), routing, endpoint management, versioning, HATEOAS, discoverability, etc.
• Experience with OpenAPI, Swagger, or emerging API design and documentation standards
• Experience in error management, tracking, and debugging within an API
• Functional understanding of different API architectures/patterns and deployment types, including monoliths, microservices, serverless, etc., and the pros/cons of each
• Significant experience writing and consuming RESTful API services oriented towards independent services and large-scale applications
• DB Experience: SQL and NoSQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, Couchbase, Firestore, etc.) and R2DBC ORM like Hibernate and SQL query design principles
• Ability to write effective unit tests
• Understanding of cloud services and how to leverage them within an API is a plus
• Desirable: Knowledge in reactive programming and hexagonal architecture
• Plus: API helpers // endpoint caching strategies

Work Modality: Hybrid 2 to 3 times per week.

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
• Zone: CDMX.
