Job Description – Deputy Manager, Counseling Department Location: Chandigarh University, Mohali Campus Role Overview The Deputy Manager – Counseling will be responsible for leading and managing a team of counselors, ensuring effective student engagement, counseling operations, lead conversion, and achievement of admission targets. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and performance management skills to drive enrollment growth and enhance the prospective student experience. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing strategies to achieve departmental goals and objectives • Leading and managing a team of counselors to ensure effective counseling services are provided to students • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless integration of counseling services into university programs • Analyzing data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement • Providing coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and performance • Building relationships with stakeholders, including students, faculty, and staff, to promote a positive and supportive campus culture. The ideal candidate should possess: • A Master's degree in Counseling or related field • Minimum 3 years of experience in counseling or a related field • Strong leadership and management skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Familiarity with university policies, procedures, and regulations • Certification in counseling (if applicable) • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
