Depot Equipment Design Engineer

Could you be the full-time Depot Equipment Design Engineer based in Saint-Ouen, France that we're looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and leverage your electromechanical engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You will work with a collaborative, dynamic, and innovative team and play a key role in designing, selecting, and delivering equipment, maintenance vehicles, and tools necessary for train and infrastructure maintenance worldwide.

Daily, you will closely collaborate with international project teams, suppliers, civil engineering partners, and local teams. You will be equally involved in identifying interfaces between equipment, vehicles, infrastructures, and signaling systems, as well as providing technical support to local teams for installation and commissioning.

You will define the technical specifications of maintenance equipment and vehicles, as well as manage interfaces with infrastructure. You will also contribute to developing reference solutions to ensure competitiveness and continuous innovation in our projects.

  • We will count on you for :

  • To specify equipment and vehicle maintenance needs based on train maintenance plans.

  • To define interfaces between equipment, vehicles, infrastructures, and signaling systems.

  • To provide technical support to procurement teams for selecting potential suppliers.

  • To follow up on equipment and vehicle manufacturing until delivery and commissioning.

  • To assist local teams for installation, commissioning, and performance testing.

  • To participate in project management meetings and propose technical solutions in case of deviations.

  • To contribute to updating reference solutions and developing team technical expertise.

  • To provide technical support during tenders and evaluate technical risks associated.

  • To collaborate with the Design Authority to ensure Alstom quality process compliance.


Your profile

  • Degree in electromechanical engineering or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.

  • Mastery of written and spoken English.

  • Experience or understanding of the railway sector or infrastructure.

  • Experience (3 years) in project management or tenders in railway or industrial fields (beginners with a strong motivation are also welcome).

  • Knowledge of electromechanical machines.

  • Able to manage interfaces with civil engineering activities.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Initiative, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
