Department Team Leader

Description Te Tūranga /About the Role: We’re looking for a Department Team Leader to join our Secondary Butchery Department. You will be leading a team of three team leaders, looking after 120 production staff, with the support of the Department Manager. This role is our nightshift, hours are 3pm to 12.30am. As a Team Leader, you will have responsibility and accountability for the department and its outcomes. You will play a critical part in ensuring team members know and understand what’s expected of them, and that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. This includes providing guidance, support and coaching to your team, as well as identifying and addressing any training or development needs. You will also be responsible for managing and coordinating the work of your team, including prioritizing tasks, allocating workload and ensuring that deadlines are met. In addition, you will have a key role in contributing to the overall success of the department by providing input into strategic planning and decision-making processes.
