Department Head - Gastronomy

We are looking for a Department Head - Gastronomy to be placed at our supermarket point of sale in Imperia. The ideal candidate is a professional figure with specific skills in the food and gastronomic sector, able to coordinate daily department activities, manage the team, and ensure high standards of quality, freshness, and customer service. We are looking for a detail-oriented, precise, and motivated person with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong customer orientation. Main responsibilities: - Manage and organize the operations of the gastronomy department; - Coordinate and train the sales team (gastronomy, delicatessen, roasting); - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and HACCP standards; - Care for product display and presentation; - Manage orders, inventory, and expiration dates; - Offer a courteous, competent, and personalized customer service. Desired profile: - At least 2-3 years of experience in similar roles in the GDO or specialized gastronomy sectors; - In-depth knowledge of gastronomy products and processing techniques; - Ability to manage personnel and organize activities; - Excellent interpersonal skills, customer orientation, and attention to quality; - Flexibility, practical sense, and willingness to work on shifts, including holidays.
