Job Description The Department Head at Chemistry Laboratory is responsible for overseeing and leading all technical and daily activities, ensuring quality and efficiency in sample analysis, and driving the growth and reputation of the laboratory. This role involves managing personnel, maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations, and optimizing laboratory operations. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in the Testing Laboratory field and be well-versed in Food, Beverage, Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals, and Environmental testing. He/She should also possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a high level of professionalism. The Department Head will report to the Laboratory Manager and will be responsible for managing a team of chemists, technicians, and other laboratory personnel. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing laboratory procedures and protocols; • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 17025); • Maintaining accurate records and reports; • Providing technical guidance and support to laboratory staff; • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field, and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
