Job Description

Were building a provincial roster of Dentists to staff on-site clinics within public-sector and community settings across Ontario. You'll deliver preventive, restorative, and urgent dental care during scheduled clinic blocks (typically 48 hours) with a dedicated chairside Dental Assistant. This is a contract position with flexible frequency (from occasional clinics to recurring multi-day schedules).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dentistry: exams, radiographs, preventive care, restorations, extractions (within scope), limited endodontics, and removable prosthesis repairs/adjustments.
  • Prioritize urgent presentations (pain, infection, acute oral conditions) and coordinate follow-up care.
  • Maintain IPAC standards, operatory readiness, and instrument reprocessing oversight.
  • Document care thoroughly in EMR; coordinate with on-site nursing/medical teams and external providers as needed.
  • Participate in case discussions, quality improvement, and occasional training or orientation sessions.
  • Safely practice within secure or institutional environments where applicable.

Qualifications

  • DDS/DMD and unrestricted license with RCDSO; CMPA (or equivalent) coverage.
  • Proficiency across preventive/restorative dentistry and urgent dental care.
  • Strong charting/EMR skills and familiarity with IPAC standards.
  • Comfortable working in diverse, sometimes high-acuity settings; excellent communication and teamwork.

Contract Type & Schedule
Independent contractor; clinic blocks typically weekdays/daytime with occasional evenings or weekends available. Background checks and immunization compliance may be required.
