Job description

Industry & Sector: Operating in the global supply chain and logistics space that supports retail, FMCG and e-commerce distribution across India. The role sits in a high-velocity planning organization responsible for ensuring product availability, optimising working capital and driving S&OP excellence.

Primary Title (standardized): Demand Planner

Role & Responsibilities
  • Own demand forecasting for assigned product portfolios—blend statistical models with market, sales and promotional inputs to produce accurate, actionable forecasts.
  • Participate in the S&OP cycle: prepare forecast vs. actual analysis, present variance drivers, and align plans with commercial and supply teams.
  • Maintain and update forecasts in ERP/forecasting systems (SAP IBP / forecasting tools); ensure data integrity and master-data alignment.
  • Monitor inventory KPIs and recommend safety stock and replenishment adjustments to balance service levels and working capital.
  • Develop and deliver demand reports and dashboards using Excel and BI tools; automate recurring reporting to reduce cycle time.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on forecast errors and drive continuous improvement initiatives to raise forecast accuracy.

Additional Qualifications
