Delivery Vehicle Driver

Reporting directly to the Depot Team Leader, as a vehicle delivery driver you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials to designated locations. The role involves operating various types of vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic laws, maintaining the vehicle in good condition and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Driving and Navigation · Operate vehicle to transport goods to a specified destinations in line with schedules · Ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations · Use navigation systems to optimize routes and reduce travel time · Maintain accurate records of delivery routes and times. Vehicle Maintenance · Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure all safety features are functioning properly · Report any vehicle defects or issues to the Depot Team Leader · Perform routine maintenance tasks such as checking oil, tire pressure, and brakes. Customer Service · Provide excellent customer service by being punctual, courteous, and professional · Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly · Maintain a clean and organized vehicle to ensure a positive customer experience. Safety and Security · Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment · Report any incidents or near-misses to the Depot Team Leader · Maintain a clean and organized vehicle to ensure a positive customer experience. Other Responsibilities · Follow all company policies and procedures · Attend training sessions and meetings as required · Be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends. Requirements · Valid driver's license · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
