Delivery Manager
Job description
Position: Delivery Manager
Modality: HYBRID (3 DAYS IN OFFICE, TORRE MAPFRE, REFORMA CDMX)
General Position Description:
We are looking for an IT Delivery Manager with a strategic focus on digital channels and business metrics, responsible for leading the implementation, monitoring, and analysis of data from digital platforms such as websites, mobile applications, and kiosks. Their main objective will be to ensure data quality and convert it into actionable insights that optimize customer experience, drive conversion, and improve operational performance.
This role acts as a bridge between IT, business, and e-commerce teams, bringing technical and analytical vision to ensure successful productive deliveries aligned with the airline's objectives.
Profile Requirements:
- +5 years of experience in development or delivery of technological solutions.
- Previous experience in digital environments (apps, e-commerce, web, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge in visualization and monitoring tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Dynatrace, Google Analytics).
- Solid skills in data analysis, KPIs, and user experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt to constant changes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influence skills.
- Ability to identify risks, coordinate resolutions, and ensure operational continuity.
- Education in areas related to technology, computer science, systems, or equivalent by experience.
- Advanced English (ESSENTIAL)
Education
- Bachelor's or Engineering degree in Systems, Information Technology, Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in Scrum (or equivalent) is desirable.
Scope and Main Responsibilities
1) Planning and Preparation of Initiatives
- Validate that new epics are documented and ready for evaluation.
- Ensure Definition of Ready (DoR) for epics is 100% before committing dates or execution.
- Evaluate technical scope in a structured manner, identifying dependencies and risks.
- Lead epic refinements and User Story Mapping sessions.
- Coordinate cost/time estimations with factories and technical leaders (TLs).
- Ensure decomposition and organization of stories in Jira, with a logical implementation sequence.
- Document key agreements and decisions.
2) Bi-monthly Planning Governance (PI Planning)
- Actively participate in PI Planning.
- Lead bi-monthly planning, aligned with the strategic roadmap and actual capacity.
- Keep the roadmap updated with a minimum visibility of 2 months.
- Align prioritization with Product Owners and stakeholders.
- Negotiate scope and date adjustments when capacity limitations or dependencies exist.
Functional technical logic is required: understand the natural sequence of construction (integrations, backend, frontend, QA, and release) and their dependencies. Deep specialization in development or architecture is not required.
3) Execution and Delivery Monitoring
- Lead feature tracking with Scrum Masters and Product Owners.
- Monitor progress, risks, blockers, and dependencies with timely intervention.
- Build and maintain operational metrics and control dashboards in New Relic.
- Generate weekly and monthly executive reports, including visibility of progress and metrics in Power BI.
- Ensure the existence and compliance of a testing plan (including QA checklist).
- Supervise acceptance testing and preparation for release.
4) Release Governance
- Validate readiness prior to release and coordinate exit agreements.
- Coordinate reinforced monitoring post go-live.
- Manage the formal Sign-Off process with stakeholders.
5) Measurement of Results and Value
- Monitor expected benefits vs. actual results.
- Measure and report key metrics (depending on the initiative), such as:
- Throughput
- Error Rate
- Stability / Performance
- Planning Compliance
- Ensure traceability between initiative, release, and business impact.
Required Knowledge and Tools
- Solid knowledge of the Scrum framework and operation in agile environments.
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Jira (backlog, metrics, tracking, and traceability)
- Confluence (documentation and agreements)
- New Relic (APM, dashboards, alerts, monitoring)
- Power BI (executive reporting and visualization)
- Analytical capability to interpret technical metrics and convert them into operational decisions.
Soft Skills (Behavioral Competencies)

- Effective negotiation: agree on scope, dates, and priorities with firmness and judgment.
- Executive communication: clarity, conciseness, and focus on data-driven decisions.

- Bi-monthly planning compliance with predictability.
- Updated roadmap with minimum 2 months visibility.
- Releases without critical deviations and with formal sign-off.
- Active dashboards used for decision-making.
- Sustained decrease in post-production incidents.
- Benefits monitored and reported with traceability.
