Dockworker Position: At the Heart of Action
Grande-Anse Marine Terminal
The dockworker is at the heart of port operations, playing a key role in loading and unloading ships, and storing cargo. This job combines manual labor, specialized equipment operation, and teamwork, where efficiency and respect for health and safety standards go hand-in-hand.
Main Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and store cargo from ships;
- Operate heavy machinery, fixed machinery, and other appropriate equipment;
- Perform various maintenance, preparation, and layout tasks for operational zones both on the ship and on the dock;
- Respect operational procedures, adapt to changing conditions, and ensure a safe working environment.
Sought-After Profile:
- Flexible according to your availability, with varied hours (day, evening, night, weekend);
- Prefers working outdoors in a physical and non-routine context;
- Has an interest in manual labor and machinery operation;
- Demonstrates rigor regarding health and safety at work;
- Team spirit, versatility, and proactivity;
- Experience with forklifts, wheel loaders, mechanical shovels, or other machinery will be considered an asset.
Work Hours:
Day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. Work is done according to operational needs and your availability. May include on-call requests.
Want to give more availability? There's a possibility of working at other marine terminals in our network, depending on the needs.
