Key Responsibilities:

• Inspire the College community to embrace the religious ethos and touchstones
  
• Deliver innovative, high-impact pastoral frameworks that shape courageous young people of integrity, compassion, and character, proud to uphold the College’s traditions and aspirations
  
• Demonstrate deep empathy and apply evidence-based behaviour management strategies to guide and support students
  
• Lead with positivity, energy, and collaboration, driving continuous improvement to ensure our young people are prepared to become world-class citizens
  
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community, fostering a true ‘whole village’ approach to care and formation
  
• Model the highest standards of professional conduct, integrity, and teamwork while leading a committed pastoral team
  

Key Criteria

• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a holistic education
  
• Proven excellence in school leadership, integrating pedagogy and pastoral care
  
• Deep compassion and expertise in applying evidence-based behaviour management strategies to support and guide students
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to work purposefully and collaboratively with students, staff, and parents in a team-oriented community
  
• Postgraduate qualifications in education and/or educational leadership.
  

SchoolHouse is working in partnership with a leading independent school providing education to approximately 1300 students. The college is located conveniently in Brisbane’s inner western suburbs, less than 10km from the city centre. • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Education)
  
• Hold a current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or be eligible to obtain one prior to commencement
  
• Appropriate qualifications and experience teaching subjects outlined above
  
• Excellent communication skills and an understanding of boys’ education
  
• Enthusiasm and flexibility with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  
• Ability and desire to actively support the values and ethos of the school
  
• Working Rights for Australia (or eligible to gain)
