DBA/SQL Specialist

Ideal Candidate
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on SQL, at least 3 years experience with MS SQL Server;
- In-depth knowledge of database design, SQL, and data manipulation languages;
- SSIS (SQL Service Integration Services) or any other ETL experience;
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization;
- Strong understanding of database security and data integrity principles;
- Skills and experience related to Data Warehousing, especially in SSIS and ETL as well as data modeling, data integrity and performance in that area;
- Willing to learn and understand the world of insurance;
- Openness to people and ideas, as well as enjoyment of varied tasks;
- Strong ambition to develop high-quality solutions;
- Good English skills.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Database management: Design, implement, and maintain high-performance databases using the latest technologies. Implement advanced indexing and partitioning strategies to optimize query performance. Utilize database monitoring tools to identify and address performance bottlenecks.
- SQL Expertise: Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval, aggregation, and analysis. Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support business logic and application requirements. Implement advanced SQL techniques for data transformation and reporting.
- Data Security and Integrity: Implement robust security measures, including role-based access control and encryption, to protect sensitive data. Establish and enforce data integrity constraints through effective database design and validation rules.
- Performance Tuning: Conduct in-depth performance analysis and implement tuning strategies to optimize database response times. Collaborate with development teams to ensure SQL code adheres to best practices for performance.
- Database Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation of database schema, data dictionaries, and SQL codebase. Provide training and support to development teams on SQL best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers and system administrators to ensure seamless integration of database systems into applications
