As a system house of the Raiffeisen Landesbank OÖ IT Group, we develop and maintain customized IT complete solutions for special industries.
In addition, we support many customers in the development and maintenance of software and business intelligence solutions by taking over entire or partial projects or providing programming capacity to cover peak loads during development and maintenance of software.
We are looking for an experienced database administrator with a focus on PostgreSQL/EDB to manage complex database environments for development, test, and production systems.
Your Tasks:
* Administration, expansion, and monitoring of database environments (production, test, development)
* Implementation and maintenance of backup and restore solutions
* Installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, as well as setting up new systems
* Performance optimization (tuning) and troubleshooting and debugging in an enterprise environment
Your Profile:
* Several years of experience in administering PostgreSQL database clusters, ideally with EDB (EnterpriseDB)
* In-depth knowledge of backup/recovery of databases
* Experience with performance tuning and error analysis in live operation
* Knowledge of PostgreSQL load balancing (e.g. HAProxy, PgBouncer)
* Good Linux admin knowledge (RedHat, Ubuntu)
* Very good German language skills and good English language skills in writing and speaking
* Teamwork, reliability, and self-reliant working style
* Willingness to participate in an on-call duty after successful onboarding
