Database Administrator MS SQL Server
Job description
Your role As a Database Administrator MS SQL Server, you are responsible for the daily operational management of the databases. You actively monitor performance, follow up on backup and restore procedures, security, installations, configurations, and deployments. Your task is to facilitate access and optimize processing and requests. You also participate in projects (development / infrastructure). Specifically, you are responsible for: Creating, maintaining, and modifying databases (MS SQL Server 2016/2019, MS Azure SQL Database) and reviewing 'Create Table' scripts provided by other Scrum teams. Implementing and monitoring high availability and backup mechanisms. Monitoring production (monitoring SQL database deadlocks, database availability, creating and checking SQL alerts, etc.). Improving the reliability, availability, and access to data by submitting new proposals. Implementing purge and audit scripts for databases. You play a coaching role within the development team. You offer help and advice with program access to SQL databases. Your profile You have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, and you have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an MS SQL Server DBA. In addition to MS SQL server environments, you are interested in one or more other RDBMS. You have in-depth practical experience with T-SQL. Experience in DevOps & MS Azure SQL is a plus. Your eagerness to learn is important for growth in this area. You have excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to be assertive in contact with colleagues and ensure that everyone's ideas and interests are respected. You are able to work efficiently in stressful situations and are flexible with changing priorities. You are customer-oriented and can work well in a team.
