As a data scientist at Trading & Optimization, you work at the intersection of energy and AI, in a place where your work has a direct impact on the energy grid. Your forecast at 13:00:00 drives a trading decision at 13:00:01, and you see the impact in real-time on our dashboards. You don't build one isolated model, but a cohesive whole where probabilistic forecasting, optimization, and control reinforce each other. The feedback loop is short and measurable; what you build today has a rapid impact.

You work in a team where data scientists, engineers, and traders are close together. There is little hierarchy and a lot of room for initiative, but also clear expectations about ownership: your models run live, and you are the first to intervene if something goes wrong. AI tooling such as Claude Code is fully integrated and accelerates your work. In this way, the team directly contributes to Plan Zero: every MWh that we trade smarter or charge/discharge more efficiently into a battery, is an MWh that does not have to come from a gas power plant.
