Data scientist with Java expertise

Project description The primary goal of the project is the modernization, maintenance and development of an eCommerce platform for a big US-based retail company, serving millions of omnichannel customers each week. Solutions are delivered by several Product Teams focused on different domains - Customer, Loyalty, Search and Browse, Data Integration, Cart. Current overriding priorities are new brands onboarding, re-architecture, database migrations, migration of microservices to a unified cloud-native architecture, and optimization for scalability and performance. The project requires strong expertise in Java programming language, as well as experience with data science tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Python. Additionally, the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is essential. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, 5+ years of experience in data science, and proficiency in Java programming language.
