Designing and implementing ML models to solve business problems: (prediction, ranking, recommendation, optimization). Building decision-making and optimization systems (pricing, bidding, personalization, allocation). End-to-end ownership of ML models. Advanced optimization and recommendations, creating and implementing optimization and recommendation algorithms that directly translate into key business indicators (eCPM, CTR, Revenue, LTV). Architecture and development of decision-making systems: Designing from scratch and developing production decision-making systems and real-time personalization engines, operating under high traffic loads (low-latency, high-throughput). Leading innovation and R&D: Initiating and leading research and development (R&D) projects – implementing breakthrough ML/AI methods, testing hypotheses, and commercializing technological innovations within the organization. Experimentation and causal analytics: Designing modern frameworks for A/B testing, attribution, and causal inference, enabling precise assessment of model impact on business (Incrementality Testing, uplift modeling). Setting architectural standards for ML infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring Junior Data Scientists. What competencies are important to us? Commercial experience (minimum 3 years): Documented successes in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced ML systems in large-scale production environments. Excellent knowledge of Python and ML/AI ecosystems: Proficient knowledge of Python and advanced programming concepts, combined with good software engineering practices. Decision-making systems and optimization: Practical knowledge of decision/game theory, mathematical optimization, learning (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement), and real-time data processing. Scalable Big Data & Cloud processing: Experience working with large-scale datasets using SQL, Apache Spark/PySpark, and cloud infrastructure with containerization. Strong theoretical foundations: Higher education (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields) with a particular emphasis on probability calculus, statistics, and discrete/continuous optimization. Nice to have: Domain Knowledge in AdTech / RTB / E-commerce: Understanding the specifics of real-time auctions (OpenRTB, DSP/SSP, Bid Landscape Forecasting) or large-scale personalization in e-commerce/FinTech. Optimization for ultra-low latency: Practice in optimizing model inference for millisecond latencies (e.g., C++, ONNX, TensorRT, Triton Inference Server). Contribution to innovation and publications: Participation in research projects, patents, scientific publications, or active contribution to Open Source projects in Machine Learning / Optimization. Academic degree (PhD, MSc) or certifications: Academic degree in exact sciences or architectural/MLOps certifications (e.g., GCP Professional ML Engineer, AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty, etc.) What do you gain by joining WP?
