A Data Scientist actively contributes to the data-driven transformation of the FPS Finance towards a more compliance-driven public service. He designs, develops, and implements analytical and machine learning models to support the core tasks of our FPS, such as the fight against fraud, the improvement of tax processes, and the optimization of collection. You will perform the following tasks: You will work individually or together with other data scientists on projects. You will combine a mix of techniques such as exploration and analysis of data, data-based risk analysis, data visualization, Business Intelligence tools, statistics, pattern recognition, anomaly detection, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc. You will work with large datasets and critically assess the quality of the provided data. Preprocessing and cleaning of data before fitting models is part of the job. You will respond quickly and accurately to ad hoc requests from internal clients. For this, you will use systems such as SAS and standard data science tools in, for example, SQL, R, or Python. You will follow up on projects with a view to integrating new data sources into the Data Warehouse. You are a team player and communicate fluently, proactively, and constructively with colleagues and end-users. You feel comfortable in a bilingual work environment. You will stay informed about developments in your field to optimally respond to new opportunities. You are also motivated to acquire a basic knowledge of tax legislation. Apply by 14/09/2026.
