Limebit GmbH is a Data-Science- and Machine-Learning-Agency with focus on the Life-Science sector. Our clients include health insurance companies, hospitals, research institutes, and pharmaceutical companies. Together we develop innovative solutions based on medical data and contribute to the sustainable development of the healthcare system.

Our team is growing further – and for that we are looking for someone who actively supports us in the field of Data Science and Machine Learning, both professionally and personally fitting into our team culture.

Our developer team consists of experts from the fields of Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, and Software Engineering. You will work closely with our Data Scientists and Machine-Learning-Engineers and be immediately involved in exciting projects.

In order for our knowledge to complement each other well and for us to quickly integrate you into responsible tasks, you bring a suitable academic background as well as initial practical experience – for example through projects, internships or first work experience. Together with you, we will develop an individual career plan that allows you to build on your strengths and achieve long-term goals.

Aufgaben

You will work with us at our clients from the Life-Science sector. Your tasks will include:

• Consultation, conception, and project management of Data Science and Machine Learning solutions for our clients
• Software development using common Machine Learning and statistics libraries (scikit-learn, SciPy, NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow etc.) and typical tools (Git, GitFlow, GitHub, GitLab, Jira)
• Literature research & implementation of prototypes
• If necessary: teaching activities in the field of Data Science & programming

Qualifikation

The following qualifications are required:

• Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Bioinformatics or comparable)
• Programming knowledge in Python and practical experience with common data science and machine learning libraries (e.g. NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Understanding of statistical methods, Machine Learning procedures and their application fields
• Very good German language skills in writing and speaking (at least C1) are required, as our clients come from the German healthcare and public sector and require secure communication in German. Good English language skills are also important for professional exchange and working with international literature.

The following qualifications are desirable:

• Experience in the healthcare sector
• Experience in collaboration in modern software development processes, including version control and collaborative development workflows (e.g. Git, GitHub/GitLab)
• First experiences with agile methods like Scrum and structured development cycles (e.g. GitFlow).
