Data Quality Analyst (Only Hispanic Latam)
Job description
Data Quality Analyst position available at one of our clients, a Mexican company dedicated to improving health and quality of life through pharmaceutical and personal care products. The team combines statistical analysis, programming, and visualization to transform data into strategic knowledge that supports business decision-making.
Your mission will be to ensure the organization's data is reliable, consistent, secure, and useful by implementing data architectures with data governance practices and quality strategies. The role ensures business decisions are based on accurate information through the development of corporate and regulatory policies.
Responsibilities include:
- Analysing business needs: Prioritize requirements according to strategic objectives. Translate business needs into effective analytical solutions. Meet with key stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Data management and preparation: Extract, transform, clean, and validate data from multiple sources. Ensure quality, integrity, traceability, and consistency in the used data. Design and maintain database structures defined by the company.
- Data governance and quality: Define and apply quality metrics (accuracy, integrity, consistency, uniqueness, punctuality). Coordinate with business and IT to define data ownership and stewardship roles. Implement tools for monitoring, cleaning, and normalizing data. Maintain catalogs, metadata, and data lineage. Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration: Work with Data, IT, BI, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams. Train and sensitize teams on data culture and practices. Guarantee high-quality inputs for predictive and analytical models.
Requirements include:
- At least 3 years of experience in data quality analysis, data engineering, or related fields.
- Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL for script development, complex queries, and data analysis.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools like Informatica, Talend, Collibra, Alation, or similar.
- Knowledge and experience in relational and non-relational database modeling and management.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks like DAMA-DMBOK, ISO 8000, and privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD.
- Ability to document processes and translate technical requirements into a language understandable by the business.
- JavaScript and jQuery skills.
- High analytical capacity, result-oriented, and problem-solving based on data.
- Mental attitude for continuous improvement and proactivity in optimizing and automating processes.
- Efficient teamwork in multidisciplinary teams, fostering empathy, sense of belonging, and collaborative work.
Contract conditions include:
- Modalidad: 100% remote.
- Jornada: Full-time.
- Tipo de contrato: Contractor via Workana.
- Duración: 12 months, with possibility of renewal based on good performance.
- Compensación: up to USD 2,200 monthly.
Selection process:
- Brief asynchronous video interview in Hireflix.
- Brief call with Workana's Matcher.
- Cultural and technical interview with the Data team leader at the client's side.
- Tech interview with the client's team.
