Data Platform Engineer Working Student (m/f/d)

• You will support the design and construction of Databricks-native data platforms (Lakehouse architectures) for our internal projects or for our clients.
• You will participate in the implementation of Medallion architectures (Bronze / Silver / Gold) including Auto Loader-based ingestion.
• You will support the development of data governance concepts, e.g. with Unity Catalog, as well as access and authorization models.
• You will help automate deployments with Databricks Asset Bundles (DAB) and CI/CD pipelines.
• You will support the development of data quality frameworks and monitoring for productive data platforms.
• You will participate in the technical documentation of platform architectures and internal best practices.
• You will contribute to internal tooling and demonstrator projects, actively shaping our Data Platform Practice.

• You are an enrolled student in an IT-related field, e.g. (Business) Informatics, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• You have good knowledge of Python and SQL.
• You already have some experience with Databricks and/or cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) which is an advantage.
• You have an interest in topics such as Data Lakehouse, Data Governance, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD.
• You have a basic understanding of data modeling and data integration processes (ETL / ELT).
• You have experience with Git and version control, which is desirable.
• You work independently and in a structured manner, and convince with teamwork and strong communication skills.
• You have very good German and English skills (minimum C1 level in both languages).
• You can work on-site at our office in Cologne or Munich for at least 50% of your time.
