About the project

Join the Data Platform team of our client, which creates modern, scalable event-driven solutions based on advanced technologies such as Apache Kafka, Spring Boot, Quarkus, MongoDB, or Apache Iceberg.

Your responsibilities

• Designing and implementing event-driven services using Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, kSQL, and Kafka Connect
• Creating microservices in Spring Boot and a GraphQL API layer (Quarkus/graalVM)
• Configuring and developing Kafka Connect connectors for data sources (e.g., MongoDB, S3, Apache Iceberg)
• Data transformation (SMT) and creation of custom converters
• Creating automation for the configuration of topics, connectors, and Kafka applications
• Implementing monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK)
• Diagnosing and optimizing Kafka configurations and event flows
• Teamwork in Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban) and knowledge sharing (workshops, documentation)
• Note: Detailed project information will be provided during the recruitment process.

Our requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in production environments.
• Very good knowledge of Apache Kafka (brokers, topics, replication).
• Practical experience with Kafka Streams, kSQL, Kafka Connect.
• Fluent in Java and Spring Boot (Cloud, Security, Data).
• Experience in API development, including GraphQL.
• Knowledge of MongoDB, query optimization, and schema design.
• Knowledge of security: TLS, SASL, ACL.
• Monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

• Python for automation.
• Basic knowledge of Apache Iceberg.
• Experience with Quarkus/graalVM.
